Spring into Fitness and Make Every Mile Count This March
Member News
As Spring approaches, bringing with it longer daylight hours and some much nicer weather, Northamptonshire Health Charity invites you to take part in their Spring into Fitness challenge this March. Commit to a walking, running or cycling challenge throughout the month of March and reap the health benefits of being more active. You can choose your own challenge as it will be personal to you. Do it alone, with friends or family and even include your four-legged friend!
You could walk daily in the shoes of our NHS Workers – their average is 6.5 miles/13,500 steps per shift! Just think after 31 days you would have covered over 200 miles! You could even commit to cycling this distance daily or over the month or set yourself another cycling challenge. Or, why not sign up to run at least a mile every day throughout March or choose to run a marathon in a week.
Your fitness challenge is personal to you and you can do this alone, with friends or family and even include your four-legged friend! Why not challenge your work colleagues to do this with you and see how far you can travel throughout the month as a group?
The event is FREE to enter and for extra motivation raise funds for your favourite NHS Trust – ward, department, hospital and appeal. And if you raise £75 or more, you will receive one of our fun charity technical t-shirts. (T-shirts are also available to purchase if you would like one for the start of the challenge.)
However, it is not a requirement of the challenge to fundraise, but if you would like to make a donation on checkout instead, we will be very grateful. Find out more information and register for the challenge at https://northamptonshirehealthcharity.co.uk/events/spring-into-fitness/
If you would like to discuss it with someone you can call 01604 626927 or email greenheart@nhcf.co.uk
