South Midlands Careers Hub Inclusion Conference 1st July 2026
Employers are invited to the South Midlands Careers Hub’s Inclusion Conference, taking place on Wednesday 1st July 2026 at King’s House, Bedford, 09:30 – 14:30.
Sponsored by the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), join employers and educators at this free event, helping you build inclusive practices that open up opportunities for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), strengthen talent pipelines and support community connections.
Due to high demand, we’ve increased capacity for this year’s Inclusion Conference. The full agenda will be confirmed soon, but key highlights include:
Engaging with Young People with SEND
A practical 2-hour workshop for employers led by Tom Cliffe (Director of CAFE TRACK, Head of Training & Development at Issured) covering:
-
- Employer awareness and engagement with education for learners with SEND
- What inclusive employer activity looks like in practice
- Planning and delivering suitable and meaningful activities for young people with SEND
- Common barriers and how to remove uncertainty before it becomes anxiety
- Evaluating impact – how to measure progression, not just participation
