Great Central Plastics (GCP) are based in Northamptonshire and since their founding in 1998, pride themselves on being a fully UK made manufacturing process. Their UK site hosts an in house tool room, a range of injection moulding machines and a designated post production decoration and packing area.

With the ability to offer both standard and fully bespoke items for a number of industries, it can be challenging to market the capabilities of Great Central Plastics. Head of sales and marketing, Kiron stated ‘often we rely on the creativity of our clients to come up with products for us to create for them. The aim of our new website is to showcase what can be achieved and inspire our clients to talk to us about new product ideas. Our team enjoy learning more about clients and helping them turn concept into reality. The main three industries we specialise in are automotive, industrial and promotional.’

Since 2011, Great Central Plastics has been powered by solar panels and offer an ever growing list of eco friendly materials for clients to choose from. GCP have a keen focus on manufacturing multi use products, combining this with an eco friendly source makes for truly sustainable products.

The development of GCP’s new website was aided by midlands based company KAWEB, who have built a completely bespoke site for Great Central Plastics. The new site allows users to search through the hundreds of standard tools that GCP have available, if the product you are looking for isn’t an option then you can submit a request for a bespoke product and the team will talk you through your options. Each month the new site will have more case studies and features to enhance the users experience and understanding of injection moulding.

You’ll notice that the site contains a number of beautifully crisp images, this was due to the great work from Northampton University students, Natasha Dobson and Nigel Fovargue. Managing Director of Great Central Plastics said ‘It’s vitally important to us to support local wherever we can. As a UK manufacturer we understand the importance of those who value supporting local and it’s only right that we carry the same ethos. Working with Natasha and Nigel was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the final results are fantastic.’ GCP are members of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, who helped introduce the team at GCP to the university of Northampton.
