High-end German kitchen brand
Häcker is strengthening its UK retail presence with the launch of a new 1,300 sq ft branded showroom at
Bell of Northampton.
Scheduled for completion by the end of August, the major refit will replace Bell’s existing Artline kitchen showroom and marks the next phase of a relationship between the two businesses which has spanned more than eight years.
Bell previously sold Häcker-manufactured kitchens under its own Artline brand, under Häcker’s former white-label model in the UK.
Häcker is now moving in a new direction, building a more visible, consumer-facing brand in the UK while continuing to work with established independent kitchen specialists. The new Bell showroom will become the brand’s retail destination for Northampton and the surrounding area.
Jamie Schneider, Managing Director of Häcker Kitchens UK and Ireland, said: “I’m very proud that Bell is part of Häcker’s success in the UK. Bell has really embraced this new direction and wants to play a central role in building awareness of the Häcker brand among consumers.
“People now carry out a great deal of research online before making a major kitchen purchase. Our aim is to give them all the information and inspiration they need and then connect them with a trusted local specialist. In Northampton, that specialist is Bell.
“What we have tried to do together is offer something a little different – not only in the design, but in the products and details that make a kitchen come alive. There is an opportunity to show consumers great design, great products and a great, supportive service.”
The new showroom has been designed by both the retail and contract design teams at Bell, spearheaded by Claire Hunt, Kitchen Showroom Manager at Bell, and supported by Häcker’s specialists in Germany. Between them, it took approximately a year to develop and refine the designs.
The new showroom space will showcase five different kitchen concepts, each presenting a different aesthetic and demonstrating the breadth of the Häcker portfolio. Four will be in place for the showroom’s opening, with a fifth display to be added at a later date.
At the heart of the showroom will be a fully operational flagship kitchen created to host live cooking demonstrations and customer events. Presented in a deep green colour palette, it will incorporate working taps, and appliances from leading manufacturer NEFF including multiple ovens, a flush-mounted hob and an island wine cooler. The display will also feature illuminated handle channels and a shark-nose worktop profile. A key focal point will be a bridge island, in which a seating and bar area connects two kitchen islands, creating a multifunctional space for cooking, entertaining and socialising.
The second kitchen design will offer a sophisticated, warmer look, combining burnt-terracotta cabinetry with handleless cupboards and integrated oven and grill appliances.
A third display will have a Scandinavian influence, using a palette of blue, beige and pale woods to give a lighter, fresher feel. Marble-effect worktops and splashbacks will also be paired with visible handles to create a sleek but functional kitchen. This fully working kitchen will also feature Bora appliances and a working Quooker hot tap supplying filtered, chilled and sparkling water.
The fourth kitchen will focus on clever storage solutions and space planning, with one cupboard door opening to reveal a concealed, secret walk-through pantry!
Claire Hunt said: “Designing the new showroom has given us the opportunity to demonstrate just how versatile the Häcker collection can be. Across the different displays, we have tried to incorporate all of the available cabinet colours and drawer types, giving consumers the chance to see and compare the breadth of choice in a real kitchen setting.
“We wanted every kitchen to have its own distinctive personality, from the deep-green working kitchen and bridge island to the lighter Scandinavian-inspired scheme and concealed walk-through pantry.
“At the same time, it was important that the kitchens were not just visually striking, but practical and relevant to the way people live, cook and entertain. It has been a detailed and collaborative process, working closely with the Häcker team in Germany to refine every element and we hope visitors will discover ideas they may not previously have considered for their own homes.”
Sustainability is also a major focus for Häcker with its wood-based materials being PEFC or FSC certified and sourced from Europe. The brand also uses low-emission, water-based lacquers and converts production wood waste into heat and avoids polystyrene packaging.
Lee Ferris, Managing Director of Bell of Northampton, added: “This is a major refit and a significant investment for Bell of Northampton. We have worked with Häcker for years and their kitchens are synonymous with quality.
“The new showroom will showcase a range of kitchen styles to suit all tastes and we look forward to welcoming people to the store to visit the new showroom and be inspired.”
The new Häcker showroom is expected to be completed by the end of August, with an official launch event taking place at Bell of Northampton on Thursday 3rd September 2026.
