The Sikh Community Centre & Youth Club (SCCYC) invites you to join their Mental Health activities today (10th October) and tomorrow (11th October).

Improve you ‘Mind-Body-Soul’ at a:

FREE INDIAN YOGA session on Monday 10th October, 6.45-7.45pm. Learning all about breathing techniques and flexibility.  

FREE Tai Chi, Mindfulness, Coffee & Cake session on Tuesday 11th October.
Attend the 12.30pm Tai Chi exercise class,1.00pm Mindfulness session, and 1.30pm for coffee, tea and cake kindly provided by Helen Puk.

SCCYC is an established, innovative, organisation that provides quality services to local and BAME communities of Northamptonshire. SCCYC has been recognised for its significant voluntary contribution through receiving the ‘Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2020 – MBE for Voluntary Groups’

Formed in 1996, they serve the residents of Northamptonshire, with particular focus on the inner town centre, St James and Castle Wards, as well as the Sikh Community and BAME communities of Northamptonshire. Most of their beneficiaries reside in the lowest 1%-10% indices of multiple deprivation in the town that suffer from poverty, health inequalities, migration challenges and cultural inequalities. The Waterside-Connect Centre is an innovative multifunctional hub, based in the heart of Northampton’s Enterprise Zone. The newly built centre boasts modern facilities for training, business, and enterprise, with rooms available to hire for conferences, meetings, events, and exhibitions. It is also the home to their inhouse catering enterprise, Punjabi Fusion CIC. All profits made are put into supporting social impact services for those most vulnerable in Northampton town.
