Food Donations and Volunteers Needed

The Sikh Community Centre & Youth Club (SCCYC) is always looking for food donations and volunteers to help with their causes such as the Food Bank.
SCCYC need Food Aid Volunteers such as packers, people to do stock control, drivers’ mates and administration duties. The Food Bank is open Tuesday, Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.

SCCYC is an established, innovative, organisation that provides quality services to local and BAME communities of Northamptonshire. SCCYC has been recognised for its significant voluntary contribution through receiving the ‘Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2020 – MBE for Voluntary Groups’.
Formed in 1996, they serve the residents of Northamptonshire, with particular focus on the inner town centre, St James and Castle Wards, as well as the Sikh Community and BAME communities of Northamptonshire. Most of their beneficiaries reside in the lowest 1%-10% indices of multiple deprivation in the town that suffer from poverty, health inequalities, migration challenges and cultural inequalities.
The Waterside-Connect Centre is an innovative multifunctional hub, based in the heart of Northampton’s Enterprise Zone. The newly built Centre boasts modern facilities for training, business, and enterprise, with rooms available to hire for conferences, meetings, events, and exhibitions. It is also the home to their inhouse catering enterprise, Punjabi Fusion CIC. All profits made are put into supporting social impact services for those most vulnerable in Northampton town.
