Expanding ‘Internal Comms’ Into A Marketing Platform

‘Internal Comms’ is an idea you should expand into your B2B plans. Traditionally, within a company, it’s a memo or group-email you send to your staff, partners, and clients – highlighting an important update on, say, working practices. But what if you take this idea, turn your communications into a video, and package it to your best client?

This is what Northampton-based Artemis UK recently did. They are a specialist claims provider with a construction offering for major UK insurer, Liverpool Victoria (LV=), and came up with this idea as part of their ongoing approach to client relationships.

‘Quirky Is Our Business’ is our motto and we felt a video would be ideal to convey this,” Julia Hewett, Managing Director, says. “We have fabulous staff who are enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. There’s always a great buzz in our office – beyond the expectations of your usual claims handler – and since a picture says a thousand words, then what better way than video to communicate this?” Julia reached out to local production outfit, The Avenue Motion Picture Company, for their expertise.

“As corporate filmmakers we bring enthusiasm and understanding to every shoot, even an autocue system to help non-professional speakers deliver their lines. And yet the key to a job like this is to capture the office’s effervescent vibe. Artemis is a friendly place, huge smiles all round – professional, motivated people enjoying their work. Julia wanted this captured. We are confident we achieved this. This turned out to be a fantastic project.”
