Sheila Smith, founder of the Northamptonshire Business Expo and Kerry Bate, founder of Polka Dot Event Management Ltd and both Northamptonshire & MK Chamber members, are excitedly collaborating together to deliver a show-stopping business expo on 16th June 2022 at The Holiday Inn, Corby.

“Between us, we have many years of event planning experience and are well-established locally, we understand very well the challenges our industry has faced since the world turned upside down in 2020, therefore we are both well-placed to strongly collaborate and bring the best of ourselves and our respective business’ together to support the local Northamptonshire business community,” said Sheila.

Kerry added: “Since the pandemic hit in March 2020 the events industry has been hit hard. So, to be able to start planning events for 2022 is very exciting and collaborating with Sheila Smith to bring Northamptonshire’s Business Expo back face-to-face is amazing. I find that working alongside other events professionals is always exhilarating as we bring different skills and strengths to ensure the event is the best it can be. It’s great to be able to support local businesses in Northamptonshire.”

The Northamptonshire Business Expo launched in 2014 as a showcase platform for every type of business together with a strategic agenda of workshops designed to help both exhibitors and visitors to learn and implement new skills and strategies to grow their business. It was a massive undertaking, but research indicated that we had nothing like it in the county at that time.

Feedback was so heartening, and all that positive feedback underlined the demand to continue the exhibitions on a regular basis, capturing the energy and momentum of all that is good about Northamptonshire Business.

Finally, the endless support of Janette Weedall and team at the Holiday Inn, Corby, ensures that the Northamptonshire Business Expo always has a place to call home, and in these uncertain times, that is good to know!
