Dedicate a light to someone special on local NHS hospital Christmas trees
Member News
Northamptonshire Health Charity is inviting people to remember and celebrate the life of their loved ones by dedicating lights on the Christmas trees at the local NHS hospitals they support. As the registered charity for Northampton General (NGH) and Kettering General Hospitals (KGH) and all of the community and mental health hospitals and services under Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT), the team works all year round helping to fund equipment and projects that enhance patient care and experience and support staff wellbeing, above and beyond what the NHS provides.
From a rehabilitation garden to help patients in the Intensive Care Unit at KGH; Swan Rooms on wards to support patients receiving end-of-life care, and their relatives, at NGH; to the wealth of additional resources funded to support mental health patients across NHFT – your donations really help to make a big difference!
While the charity will not be holding an event this year, virtual or otherwise, people can still dedicate a light in memory of someone special or as a gift for loved ones. Lights are £5 each or 3 for £10 with all proceeds going to the charity’s General Fund to benefit projects and initiatives across all three local NHS Trusts.
For your donation, a light on one of the trees at the local hospitals will be dedicated in the name of your loved one and you will receive a commemorative card with their name. Your dedication message, together with a photo of your loved one will also appear on the special Light up a Life page on the charity’s website.
