With the profile of the Northampton Town Academy rising, the support of local business dbfb Communications is vital to the club and will continue into its seventh consecutive season.

Among the recent success stories for the Northampton Town is Josh Tomlinson who became not only the youngest player to appear for the Cobblers, but also the club’s youngest ever goalscorer.

“dbfb Communications are a valued, long-term partner of the club’s academy and have been with us every step of the way as we have progressed over the last few years,” said Academy manager Ian Sampson.

“The ethos of our academy is to help local young footballers achieve their dream of becoming the best footballers they can possibly be, and it fits perfectly to have a local business as a partner of the academy on that journey.”

The value of a strong academy has been highlighted with the key roles played by the likes of Shaun McWilliams and Max Dyche in the club’s recent promotion, while other former academy graduates have moved on to play for England, in the Premier League and in the Championship.

Simon Pickering, Managing Director at dbfb said “We’re delighted to have supported the Northampton Town Academy for seven consecutive seasons. Our partnership reflects our commitment to nurturing local talent and helping aspiring young footballers achieve their dreams. The success stories of players like Josh Tomlinson and the contributions of academy graduates in the club’s recent promotion highlight the value of a strong academy. This partnership is a true collaboration that benefits both parties, with dbfb Communications providing expertise at the stadium while supporting our business growth. Together, we are making a positive impact on the local community and shaping the future of football in our region.”

Cobblers Commercial Director, Caroline Lucy added: “It is great to see more local businesses capitalising on what we do for the community.

“With our promotion to League One and some big opposition coming to Sixfields next season and with increased TV viewing figures expected, the combined effect of these factors will see many more pairs of eyes for our partners and advertisers to be seen and it is great to see more Northamptonshire based companies benefiting from this exposure.”
