Success For Maison De Beaute At The NL Awards!


Last week, NNBN were delighted to support the Northants Life Awards at The Chester House Estate as sponsors of the Best Beauty Salon category and Marie was present on stage to present the Award to the winner. We caught up with the category winner afterwards to learn more about them, but also what it was like to be an Award winner.

So let us introduce you to Emily Ayris and her Award winning business……

Q. Tell us about yourself and your business

A. I’m Emily, the owner of MDB & Co, otherwise known as Maison de Beaute & Co in Northampton. I have been in the beauty industry for 16 years and started my journey in a salon where I worked for many years. I met some amazing life long friends who now make up half my team of therapists and, despite some time working from home, I’m now proudly trading from my salon for the last two years which is based in Oulton Rise, Northampton.

Q. Who services do you and your team provide?

A. Our services include luxury treatments from qualified professionals and include a number of beauty treatments including brows, lashes, waxing, manicure, pedicures, massage and skincare.

Q. What was the feeling like when you were announced as the category winner?

A. “Amazing!!! I was buzzing, so proud, honoured and lucky. It was such a lovely feeling after a busy two years building and setting up the salon and team.”

Q. What does it mean to win the award you won and being named Best Beauty Salon at the NL Awards?

A. “I’m honoured and grateful to work with such an amazing team who are all so supportive and made my dream come true. After all the learning and challenges that have got my business to the two year mark I can’t express how much this award was the cherry on top of the cake for me.”

Q. To be recognised at any Awards event is great for morale within the business, what was it like the next time you all saw each other?

A. “I was lucky enough to have most of my team and their partners at the awards and we were all buzzing. I’m very lucky that the team are like a family, we have all supported each other. It was such an amazing atmosphere when we won. I struggled to sleep that night I was so happy.”

Q. What feedback have you had from your customers since winning the Award?

A. “They are absolutely over the moon for us. Some of our clients have supported us for nearly 15 years. So we are super grateful for their loyalty. It’s nice to know the clients are happy and like coming to the salon.”

Q. Where is your Award at this moment in time?

A. “Pride of place on the salon reception desk for all our clients, friends and family to see.”

Q. How will winning this Award help you in the future?

A. “It’s great recognition for the team and shows clients our enthusiasm for what we do. I love my salon, and my work family.”
