Here at Kelmarsh Hall, we’re seeing an increase of intimate weddings and we’re delighted to be able to offer so many different options to ensure we meet the wishes of each couple. We work closely with our couples to deliver the wedding that they’ve envisioned and offer bespoke packages and prices to do so. All weddings at Kelmarsh Hall include exclusive use of the venue and our beautiful historic gardens, this truly does enhance the intimate feeling.

Every couple has different preferences and where the food may be most important to one couple, the décor may be more important to another. An intimate wedding really does mean that you can invest more into the food options or the floral displays. The great thing about Kelmarsh is that our venue truly does speak for itself, so if you didn’t necessarily want too much décor then the setting of your wedding is still just as beautiful.

The Orangery

Our Orangery is the perfect space for an intimate wedding with a maximum capacity of 40 guests. Finished with sky-lighting and rows of French windows, The Orangery has stunning views across the parkland to St.Denys Church. We can offer both ceremonies and weddings breakfasts in The Orangery and the most beautiful atmosphere is created with live acoustics. Our award-winning gardens are just around the corner and are the perfect surroundings for an intimate drinks reception. Our wonderful sole caterers, Portfolio Events, are always on hand to keep topping up the drinks so your guests can relax and take a stroll.

The Saloon

An intimate wedding doesn’t mean that you can’t still have a grand wedding. The Saloon is the perfect space for an elegant, intimate setting. With views over the ornamental lake, beautiful chandeliers and detailed with fine 18^th-century plasterwork, The Saloon makes for the perfect room for your ceremony or wedding breakfast. Couples are more than welcome to make use of our baby grand piano or have the option of other live music such as a harp or string quartet. With the choice of round tables or a banquet style, we can seat up to 50 guests for an intimate wedding breakfast. Portfolio Events also provide the Lancaster Bar for an evening reception with many drinks packages to choose from.

Outdoor weddings

We are so delighted to be able to offer outdoor ceremonies and there are so many different amazing locations within our grounds to deliver an intimate wedding. Our Grade II listed gardens surrounding the Hall are known for their relaxed charm and ‘harphazard luxuriance’. The walled gardens are forever changing throughout the seasons and carefully maintained by our talented gardeners each day, meaning that there is always something beautiful to see. The back lawns provide a stunning backdrop of the house and can offer a flexible layout for your seating plan. Another hot spot is the Sunken Garden, the perfect place to form an aisle for a ceremony with fewer guests.
