Blogs
Your wedding photos are one of the most special parts of your day. They’re the essence of your memories and something to share not only with your loved ones that couldn’t be with you on your day, but also with new additions to the family that may come along in the future. Here at Kelmarsh, there are many different hot spots for taking your photos that will truly represent your day here. It is also such a lovely part of the day, to take some time to yourselves and explore the grounds.
The front of the Hall
Of course, using the front of the Hall as a backdrop is an absolute must! This is one of the hottest spots for group photos as not only is it a large space, but it also represents the luxury country vibe of your wedding. If your photographer also uses drones, this is always an amazing group shot, to capture your guests and the surroundings of the Hall. The tranquil seclusion of the Hall means that you will be free from any unwanted objects in this shot.
The Walled Garden
Our gardens
are Grade II* listed and are the most idyllic for your couple photos. This is the perfect spot to sneak away from your guests and have some well-deserved time to yourselves. The walled garden stands at the heart of the Kelmarsh Gardens, with exuberant floral boarders and the vinery in the centre. With the flowers constantly changing throughout the year, you’re guaranteed some wonderful shots, no matter what time of year your wedding.
The Grand Staircase
The staircase in the Hall is an amazing opportunity to capture that ‘first look’ shot. With our stunning gallery, our brides can stay hidden from guests to have her first look with whoever she wishes. The layout of the staircase also enables photographers to get stunning angles of the dress. Others also hang their dress from the staircase with the backdrop of the South Steps to help set the scene in their photos and videos.
The Great Hall
The Great Hall
is the centrepiece of the house with elegant 18th-century plasterwork and Italian-pink walls. This where the drinks reception of your wedding takes place and, in the evening, transforms into the most cosy, relaxing areas for your guests. The stunning architecture of this room is an absolute must for those candid shots of you and your guests.
Hidden Garden Spots
There are so many hidden spots in our gardens that you just do not want to miss! Our fan rose garden has wonderful views of the Kelmarsh Church, along with amazing scents and colours. Keep an eye out for secret pathways and open hedges as you never know what photogenic spots you will come across. There are also some benches dotted around for you to take a minute to relax.
