An operations administrator is the latest new recruit at Northampton-based health and safety consultancy Acorn Safety Services.

Laura Dunscombe is the most recent of 10 new starters welcomed over the course of this year so far at the thriving consultancy, which provides health and safety services to businesses, charities and organisations across the UK.

The extensive recruitment has been necessary as the company grows to meet evolving customer demand. Plus the addition of a huge contract this summer with a national funeral director firm determined the need for more administrative assistance in the office.

Laura is responsible for the strategic leadership and comprehensive management of all operational tasks such as preparing risk assessment and method statements (RAMs), probe calibrations, subcontractor forms, creating projects and reports, contacting clients to book in sites and answering inbound phone calls.

Laura, who previously worked as a maintenance manager at Hilton Northampton, said: “The job is busy and the team are similar to my personality. The days are full and fun – what more can you ask from a job?

“It’s a fantastic team here and I feel at home already.”
