Flexibility and a community feel were the pull that enticed a leading Northamptonshire PR agency to set up shop at the county’s most sought-after creative workspace.

Ballyhoo PR moved into Vulcan Works in May last year, after giving up their Lamport office, which had been home for four years. The four-strong Ballyhoo Crew wanted a central coworking base for their weekly team days and immediately thought of Vulcan Works, having previously worked with the innovative centre.

Director Emma Speirs said: “We already felt part of the Vulcan Works community having visited numerous times before for client meetings, networking and events. The welcoming and warm nature of the space was a great draw for us, as communication and sharing is a key part of who the Ballyhoo Crew are and what we do.

“The Vulcan Works mission to provide a collaborative coworking space for creatives that are serious about innovation and growth really resonated with me, and I was keen to join in with our team.”

For the past 16 months, the Ballyhoo Crew has met weekly at Vulcan Works as part of their rolling monthly Coworking Membership, which allows flexible coworking from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. They can also access the Vulcan Works Community and opportunities to attend the centre’s many networking events, creative classes and information sessions.

The membership also offers a discounted rate on meeting rooms, superfast WiFi and unlimited tea and coffee.

Vulcan Works centre manager Garrick Hurter said: “Having the Ballyhoo Crew as part of our coworking community has been a great addition to the centre. The team are friendly and approachable and have fully embraced all that Vulcan Works stands for. They tend to base themselves just inside the door with smiley, approachable demeanours which have encouraged our community to engage with them and their services. We are delighted to be part of their story and hope they will be part of our community for many years to come.”
