New recruit at growing health and safety consultancy
A growing Northampton-based health and safety consultancy has added another new recruit to the fold.
Acorn Safety Services, which provides health and safety services to businesses, charities and organisations across the UK, has welcomed Chris Cowey as legionella consultant.
After serving in the Army, Chris became a domestic plumber before his new role, in which he is undertaking legionella risk assessments, surveying water systems and looking for legionella bacteria hazards, as well as associated remedial works.
He said: “I’ve settled in well at Acorn Safety Services, everyone I work with has been really welcoming. Not every day is the same and I’m learning on my feet. It’s a great team to be a part of.”
Chris is one of seven new starters in as many months at the Moulton Park base, which the company moved into last year with sister organisation Acorn Analytical Services after outgrowing two offices in two years.
Operations Director Zeynep Guzelkasap said: “We have grown exponentially in the last year, and our choices of new additions have been carefully considered and planned strategically to fit with our continued growth and culture.
“Our team is our greatest asset and each member has an important part to play in our success. We are delighted to welcome Chris to the Acorn family and look forward to seeing his career flourish here.”
