A one-off festive special edition of the practical Gather & Create @ Vulcan Works workshops will take place next month.

Gather & Create @ Vulcan Works launched in the summer to offer the centre’s core creative clients a chance to try new things and meet with likeminded individuals.

Since then, the bimonthly hands-on creative sessions have included podcasting and painting and on Tuesday 2nd December the Gather & Create @ Vulcan Works Christmas Edition will see participants craft their own yuletide door wreath.

Hosted by Suzie from Eden Wild, this relaxed floristry workshop is all about getting into the Christmas spirit.

Using the traditional binding method on a moss base, workshop participants will be guided through the process of building a beautiful, bespoke wreath using seasonal foliage and decorative materials including dried fruits, pinecones, pampas, feathers, and thistles.

All tools and materials are provided, and tickets include a glass of prosecco and nibbles on arrival.

Centre manager Garrick Hurter said: “This workshop is a wonderful way to start the festive season and is perfect for creative people who want to try something new. Our Gather & Create sessions have proved very popular since we launched earlier this year and this session is no different – we only have limited spaces available.

“Come along with family and friends and make something beautiful together this Christmas. We can’t wait to see you there!”
