Zerani Scears – 2025 Women in Construction Finalist

We are incredibly proud to share some exciting news. Our Managing Director, Zerani Scears, has been named a finalist in the Women in Construction category at the prestigious Southeast Construction Awards.

This recognition is a true testament to Zerani’s unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and the powerful impact she continues to make, not only at AZS but across the wider construction industry. She is the driving force behind our business, inspiring those around her through her relentless work ethic, her commitment to innovation, and her passion for excellence in planning and project delivery.

Since founding AZS, Zerani has played a pivotal role in shaping who we are and what we stand for. From developing our core values to mentoring the next generation of planners, she works tirelessly day in and day out, not for the spotlight, but because she genuinely cares about people, quality, and progress. Her determination to raise standards and push boundaries within construction planning has helped position AZS as a respected and forward-thinking consultancy.

To see her achievements being recognised on a regional stage—among some of the most talented and influential figures in the industry, is incredibly rewarding for all of us. It reflects not just her individual brilliance but also the culture she has built: one of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.

This marks our second award nomination this year, and for a business of our size and age, that’s something we are truly proud of. Each nomination is more than just a line on a CV, it’s a celebration of the passion, talent, and teamwork that goes into everything we do. It also serves as a reminder that small, ambitious companies can make a big impact when led with vision and heart.

We’d like to thank the Southeast Construction Awards for recognising Zerani’s contribution, and we wish all the finalists the best of luck. Just to be among them is an honour.

Fingers crossed for the result and whatever happens, we couldn’t be prouder.
