Yusen Logistics (UK) has been named a finalist in four categories at the 2026 Supply Chain Excellence Awards, recognising its work across healthcare supply chain management, strategic procurement, warehouse innovation and automation.
The company, which has bases across the UK, has been shortlisted for the following categories:
Being recognised across such a diverse range of categories highlights the breadth of expertise within Yusen Logistics, from managing complex healthcare supply chains and developing effective procurement strategies to introducing advanced warehouse technologies and automation.
The finalist status also recognises the strong partnerships the company has built with its customers and technology providers.
Yusen Logistics is particularly proud that its collaboration with Logistex has been recognised in both The Best Use of Robotics and The Warehouse Initiative Award categories. The partnership has supported the delivery and integration of advanced automation at Yusen Logistics’ new Sustainable Distribution Centre in Northampton, including Geek+ Shelf-to-Person technology.
Acting as systems integrator, Logistex brought together a range of technologies – including automated storage and retrieval, four-way pallet shuttle and autonomous mobile robot goods-to-person solutions – to increase operational efficiency and inventory control while also supporting Yusen Logistics’ wider sustainability ambitions.
David Evans, Managing Director of Yusen Logistics (UK), said: “Being shortlisted in four highly competitive categories is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, expertise and collaborative spirit of colleagues across the business, as well as the strong partnerships we have built with our customers and suppliers.
“It also recognises our continued focus on operational excellence, innovation, sustainability and delivering outstanding results for customers across a range of sectors.
“We are especially pleased to see our work with Logistex recognised in two categories. Successful innovation depends on close collaboration and for the contribution of everyone involved in developing and implementing these solutions to be recognised in this way is fantastic. We would like to thank everyone involved in the projects and initiatives that contributed to these achievements and we look forward to attending the awards ceremony later this year.”
The winners of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards will be announced at the official awards ceremony on Thursday 5th November at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London hotel.
