Businesses across West Northamptonshire can find out more about a range of free support and funding advice to help them thrive in the post-covid climate during a major exhibition in Northampton next week.

They are encouraged to attend Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce’s free Back2Business Expo Event at Northampton Saints, Franklin’s Gardens on Wednesday (15 September) from 10am to 3.30pm.

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is among the many organisations that will be attending, to raise awareness of the many free services available to businesses looking to grow and develop their offer locally, including helping them to access funding streams, support to upskill and recruit staff and nurture new start-ups. Members of the Council’s Economy Team will be on hand to speak to attendees about the support available, as well as showcasing the benefits of investing and doing business in West Northants.

Councillor Lizzy Bowen, WNC’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, Town Centre Regeneration and Growth, who will be speaking to business reps at the launch event on Wednesday, said: “We are delighted to be involved in the Chamber’s Back2Business exhibition, which will showcase the wealth of opportunities, services and support available to businesses across our area.

“The challenges for our local businesses over the past 18 months have been unprecedented and we need to do everything possible to support them post-pandemic, including ensuring they are aware of the broad range of free support and advice available and ways to access funding streams to help them thrive once again.”
