TMDF Launches New School Year with Expanded Partnership Programme

The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation (TMDF) has begun the new academic year by renewing its commitment to more than 90 Primary, Secondary, and Alternative Provision schools across Northamptonshire through its Schools Partnership Programme.  The initiative, which forms a cornerstone of TMDF’s work, provides direct support to families facing hardship, including food parcels, breakfast supplies, school shoes, and access to essential technology.

As part of the annual relaunch, TMDF’s Schools Liaison Officer, Jenna, is visiting partner schools to formalise agreements for the year ahead, support the planning of school fundraising activities, and schedule assemblies where staff and pupils can learn more about the Foundation’s work.  In the coming weeks, schools will also be placing orders for food parcels in advance of TMDF’s next major distribution, which is due to take place before the October half-term.

This year, TMDF is additionally encouraging schools to participate in its Intergenerational Stories Programme, a project designed to bring students and older adults together to share personal histories, strengthen community bonds, and celebrate the value of storytelling.  The initiative will culminate in a public exhibition at the end of the academic year.

By combining practical support with community-focused projects, TMDF aims to ensure that children and families across the county are better equipped to overcome challenges and thrive in the year ahead.
