TMDF Delivers Massive Festive Relief Effort Across Northamptonshire

On Wednesday, 17th December 2025, The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation, TMDF, executed one of the region’s largest festive aid operations, providing thousands of essential items and seasonal provisions to families in need.  Operating from the TMDF Food and Essentials Hub, the charity transformed its facility into a high-capacity distribution centre to ensure that vulnerable households across Northamptonshire were fully equipped for the Christmas period.

The entire logistical framework was driven by the TMDF team, who managed the sourcing, packing, and deployment of goods. While working in close collaboration with School Partners to identify families in urgent need, TMDF provided the infrastructure and resources necessary to facilitate the massive roll-out.  On the day of the event, the Hub acted as the central engine room where charity partners collected thousands of parcels and winter essentials for direct delivery to local homes.

The event also served as an opportunity to welcome TMDF’s key sponsors and stakeholders.  TMDF were delighted to be joined by several corporate partners and local businesses, as well as representatives from West Northants Council and various community partners.  The presence of Deputy Mayor Mike Hallam further highlighted the community significance of the day.

The reach of the TMDF mission was further extended through partnerships with local community groups and social services.  These organisations utilised the TMDF Hub to secure vital resources for their own networks, ensuring the charity’s impact was felt in every corner of the county.

The scale of the operation reflects a significant mobilisation of resources by TMDF.  Data released by the organisation highlights the following impact for the month of December:

  • 1,950 Food Parcels: Provided to individuals and families facing financial crisis.
  • 3,500+ Items: A vast collection of toys, games, and gifts delivered to children and vulnerable adults.
  • 338 Fresh Turkeys: Sourced by TMDF to ensure clients could provide a full Christmas dinner.
  • 839 Confectionery Items: Including selection boxes and biscuit tins to bring festive cheer to households.

TMDF leadership has noted that an undertaking of this magnitude was only made possible by the extraordinary generosity of the Northamptonshire public.  TMDF was met with a huge volume of donations, which were processed and prepared for distribution by a dedicated team of volunteers.

While the number of individual contributors is too large to list, TMDF has expressed its profound gratitude for the collective spirit that allowed the charity to put food on tables and bring joy to thousands of homes.

As January 2026 begins, TMDF remains committed to its mission.  While the festive period has drawn to a close, TMDF remains a constant presence in the county, dedicated to maintaining its vital services for the Northamptonshire community throughout the year.
