TMDF Celebrates Volunteers’ Week 2025

Volunters' Week

As part of Volunteers’ Week 2025, The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation (TMDF) is proud to celebrate the dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts of the volunteers who make our work possible.  Whether supporting our Social Clubs and Food Hub, or lending a hand at community events and fundraisers, TMDF simply couldn’t do what we do without them.

This week, we’re especially thrilled to recognise Irene Loftus, who has been volunteering with TMDF since Christmas 2023.  Irene, along with her husband Joe, was recently honoured with a Rose of Northampton Award, a fitting tribute to the warmth, generosity, and steadfast support they bring to our work and the wider community. Their selfless devotion and positive presence have made a meaningful difference to so many.

Irene and Joe were among five TMDF volunteers to receive a Rose Award this year, a proud moment for the Foundation and a reflection of the incredible people who power our mission.

“Thoroughly recommend people to join up.  Great bunch of people.  Best thing I ever did, and they won’t regret it.”

We are immensely grateful to Irene, Joe, and to all our volunteers, this Volunteers’ Week, and every week.  We thank you for the difference you make.
