Teamwork is dreamwork when taking on a challenge

In previous years, the Northamptonshire Health Charity abseil day has bought colleagues together to take part in the extreme abseil of the iconic 418ft Express Lift Tower.  “It is a great challenge to share with each other and being part of a team means you can also support each other with your fundraising too,” said Rob Powell, Charity Fundraiser.

The local charity which supports NHS hospitals and community services across Northamptonshire is looking for people to sign up for their fifth annual abseil day on Saturday 25 June.  It could provide a fantastic team-building activity for two or more people from the same team, or bring people together from teams across your company.

Last year, a team of four from Hawsons Accountants went “over the top” of the lift tower, raising an incredible £1,899 between them for the oncology department at Northampton General Hospital.  There have also been a number of teams from wards and departments at the hospital who have come together to raise money for projects that enhance patient care and experience.

“This year, we are delighted to welcome a team from Timken Grange Care Home in Duston, Northampton who have signed up but we would love more teams to get involved,” said Rob.

You are able to raise funds for any ward, department or service that means the most to you at any of the three local NHS Trusts the charity supports: Northampton General Hospital, Kettering General Hospital, and all of the community and mental health hospitals and services under Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
