TC Group strengthens advisory services with key senior tax appointment

Experienced tax specialist Jennie Brown joins growing team to support business owners, families and organisations with complex tax planning.

TC Group Business Advisors & Accountants is delighted to announce the appointment of Jennie Brown as Director – Head of Tax Advisory, a key senior hire that further enhances the firm’s ability to guide business owners, entrepreneurs, and families through complex personal and commercial tax matters.
Based at TC’s Northampton office, Jennie brings more than 20 years’ experience across a broad range of tax advisory services. She will play a key role building on TC’s growing corporate advisory offering, advising business owners and organisations on group restructures, business succession and exit strategies, transaction support, and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) matters, while also providing specialist guidance on trusts, inheritance tax (IHT) and wealth planning tax considerations.
Commenting on Jennie’s appointment, Debbie Ince, Director – Head of Tax at TC SEM*, said: “We’re so pleased Jennie’s joined us. Her appointment significantly strengthens our corporate tax advisory capabilities and adds further depth to the specialist support we can offer our clients.
“Jennie brings extensive experience helping businesses navigate restructuring projects, succession planning and ownership transitions, while also adding valuable expertise in SDLT and other complex advisory areas. This enables us to provide even greater support to clients as they plan for growth, manage change, and prepare for the future.
“Alongside her technical expertise, Jennie has a genuinely people-focused approach. She takes the time to understand each client’s unique circumstances and priorities, which fits perfectly with our award-winning culture and the way we work. Having this specialist knowledge within our team’s a major benefit.”
Jennie is ATT and CTA qualified and has recently achieved the prestigious Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) qualification, further enhancing her expertise in cross-border tax matters.
As individuals and businesses become increasingly mobile, this international tax knowledge enables her to identify potential overseas tax considerations, coordinate advice with international specialists, and help clients manage tax risks across multiple jurisdictions.
David McGeachy, Partner & Board Member at TC SEM, added:
“Tax can often feel like a minefield and clients rightly expect joined-up advice that looks at the bigger picture. Jennie brings exactly that mindset. Her ability to combine technical expertise with practical, commercially-sound advice makes her a fantastic addition to the team and she’s already building strong relationships. We’re excited about the value she’ll bring to our clients, network, and colleagues.”
Jennie says her approach is built around listening first and understanding what matters most to each client before providing advice that’s practical, clear and tailored to their circumstances.
Speaking about her new role, Jennie said:
“It’s such an exciting time to be joining TC Group. What attracted me was the firm’s commitment to putting relationships first and delivering advice that genuinely helps clients achieve their goals. Every client, family and business is different, so it’s important to take the time to understand their priorities and challenges. Ultimately, my role’s to help people make confident decisions by providing advice that’s strategic, responsive and grounded in real-world experience.
“Some situations require swift technical expertise, while others involve longer-term planning and careful consideration of family or commercial dynamics. It’s about adapting to what’s needed and guiding clients through important decisions, not just transactions.
“I also strongly believe in collaborative working. The best outcomes are achieved when advisors work together, so I enjoy building close relationships with solicitors, financial planners and other professionals to ensure clients receive joined-up, practical advice.”
Among the areas Jennie advises on are:
- Corporate and group restructuring
- Business succession, management buyouts (MBOs) and employee ownership trusts (EOTs)
- Transaction and advisory support
- SDLT advisory services
- Shareholder and owner-manager tax planning
- International tax matters
- Trusts and family wealth planning
- IHT planning and long-term asset protection
Jennie’s appointment reflects TC Group’s growth, continued investment in specialist expertise, and its commitment to providing business owners, entrepreneurs and families with access to high-quality, commercially focused tax advice.
Whether clients are preparing for succession, managing international tax considerations, or protecting wealth for future generations, TC’s expanding Tax team is well placed to provide the specialist support needed to navigate an increasingly complex tax landscape.
