Strategic new hire to help HR consultancy build SME relationships and drive growth
Leicester-based HR consultancy, Impact HR, has announced a strategic new appointment as it looks to grow its client base and build new relationships with SMEs across the region.
Amber Hoefling has joined the growing company as Business Development Manager, with a remit to drive new client growth, strengthen relationships and expand Impact HR’s presence in Leicester.
Amber, who has previously worked alongside Impact HR CEO Greg Guilford, brings 13 years of business development experience from the property, recruitment and HR sectors to the business.
After studying Education Studies at the University of Northampton, Amber began her career in the property industry, working in lettings and property management and overseeing branches in Peterborough. She later moved into recruitment before joining a HR business in 2022.
Amber said: “Over the last four years, I have developed a genuine passion for HR and a strong motivation to support SMEs in creating healthy, positive and happy workplace cultures. Having managed teams myself, I understand first-hand the importance of effective HR and the challenges that SMEs can face. This experience allows me to genuinely relate to business owners and managers and understand the practical realities of balancing people, performance and business needs.
“I’m really excited to have joined Impact HR. What particularly attracted me was the personal approach the team takes with clients. It isn’t about hard selling or bringing in as many new clients as possible, it is about building relationships, understanding the business and its people and making sure we are recommending support that will genuinely make a difference.
“I know how knowledgeable the team is and I think that is incredibly important when you are representing a service. I need to believe in what I am offering and know that when I introduce a client to the team, they are going to receive a high standard of support.
“I also love being out on the road, meeting people and building relationships, so I’m looking forward to getting out to meet businesses face-to-face, attend networking events and develop relationships with SMEs.”
Amber is also looking to further develop her own HR knowledge through CIPD study as she settles into her new role.
She said: “Undertaking a CIPD course will increase my HR knowledge and enable me to get a better understanding of the services needed by SMEs when I speak to them. That way, we can make a real impact and provide practical help where it is needed.”
Greg Guilford, CEO of Impact HR, said: “Amber brings a huge amount of business development experience to the team, but just as importantly, she shares our approach to building genuine, long-term relationships with clients.
“We are continuing to grow Impact HR across the UK and Amber will play an important role in helping us meet more SMEs, understand what they need from their HR partner and demonstrate the difference that proactive, people-focused support can make.
“I have worked with Amber before and know the energy, enthusiasm and relationship-building skills she brings. I’m delighted to be working with her again and to welcome her to Impact HR.”
