Rotary Fun Run Brings Out Hundreds of Santas in Support of TMDF and Local Causes

On Sunday 7th December 2025, the Racecourse in Northampton played host to the Northampton Rotary Santa Fun Run for TMDF 2025, drawing an impressive turnout of participants in full festive attire.  Organised by the four Northampton Rotary Clubs, the event brought together the local community to raise funds for charitable causes, including The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation (TMDF).

The Racecourse was transformed into a vibrant display of red as hundreds of Santas walked, jogged, and ran along 2.5km and 5km routes.  Participants of all ages and abilities were welcomed, with provisions made for those using wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or pushing buggies.  Well-behaved dogs on leads also joined the festive occasion.  Each participant received a Santa suit and medal, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

TMDF, as one of the chosen charity partners, was represented by staff and volunteers who actively took part in the run.  Among them were Teresa and her daughter Grace, Jenna and her daughter Livvie, one of TMDF’s youngest volunteers, and sisters Marie and Kath, who have been long-standing volunteers with the organisation.  Their participation underscored the strong community spirit and commitment to supporting local families and individuals in need.

Funds raised through the event will directly benefit TMDF’s ongoing work across Northamptonshire, including the provision of essential food parcels, gifts, and community support during the winter months.

TMDF expressed their gratitude to the Rotary Clubs and to all participants, volunteers, and supporters for contributing to the success of the event.  Those wishing to support TMDF’s ongoing charitable work are invited to make a donation via the following link:  https://localgiving.org/charity/the-mccarthy-dixon-foundation
