Podcast studio opens in town centre workspace

A brand-new state-of-the-art podcast studio opens today at Northampton’s Vulcan Works.

The podcast studio, in the creative workspace’s main building on Guildhall Road, has been meticulously designed by the centre’s management team, who wanted to provide a useful bolt on service for customers, both internal and external, alongside the hub’s invaluable business support, networking opportunities, seminars and meeting rooms.

It will be available to hire through the centre’s website from just £22.50 + VAT per hour, or £120 + VAT for the day.

The Vulcan Studio podcast space offers two distinct setups to suit different styles – a polished desk arrangement with four chairs for a professional feel, and a relaxed lounge area featuring two comfortable sofas.

Both configurations are supported by movable microphones, allowing seamless recording regardless of the chosen setup. The studio also includes a 55-inch television screen and unlimited complimentary tea and coffee, creating a welcoming environment for creativity and collaboration.

The studio can be booked flexibly – by the hour, for half a day, or a full day, with the option to include time with experienced external podcast producer Andrew Bond. His professional support can be arranged as part of the booking process, offering added expertise to enhance your recording.

Centre manager Garrick Hurter said: “The podcast studio has been an ambition of ours for a long time. We feel it is the perfect addition to our service offering, providing yet another creative opportunity for our clients and the wider business community that we’re proud to serve.

“The studio can be used by beginners and accomplished podcasters alike; with all the tech you need to put together a professional sound. Bookings are open now on our website!”
