NX TEES UP TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Local logistics firm hosts charity golf day for Motor Neurone Disease
Daventry-based logistics firm The NX Group brought together customers, partners and colleagues on 25 September for a charity golf day benefiting the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND Association).
Held at Staverton Park Golf Club, the event combined networking and friendly competition while raising vital funds and awareness for people affected by MND.
The event raised £1,825 for the MND Association, thanks to the generosity of participants and those who donated raffle prizes. Teams enjoyed a full round of golf, opportunities to network throughout the day, and a relaxed meal and presentation afterwards. The funds will support the charity’s work to improve care and support for people affected by motor neurone disease and to fund research.
Managing Director Neil Powell said: “Bringing our customers, partners and colleagues together made the golf day a real success. Their generosity, along with the support of our prize donors, helped us raise an excellent amount for a cause that truly matters to us.”
The charity golf day forms part of NX’s ongoing commitment to supporting the MND Association through fundraising, awareness and community events. This year, the company has also taken part in the London Marathon and unveiled MND Association branding across its nine 12-tonne vehicles to raise further awareness and funds for the Northampton-based organisation, the UK’s largest MND charity.
