Silverstone Museum, located trackside at Silverstone Circuit in a former WW2 hangar, takes visitors on a journey of the circuit’s history – from an RAF airfield to a world-leading Formula 1 race track.

Housed in the exhibition is a wealth of exhibits, a treasure trove of historical artefacts and memorabilia, and the museum’s prized collection of iconic racing cars and motorbikes, from the 1930s right through to modern day.

Inspiring children and young people to study science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is at the heart of all they do at Silverstone Museum. Their incredible catalogue of workshops help to inform and motivate young people at whatever stage of their education, whether it’s learning about how Formula 1 tyres work, or understanding aerodynamics and the careers available within motorsport.

They also work to preserve Silverstone’s history and maintain the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) archive and collection on-site.
