Milton Keynes HR tech specialist strengthens commercial leadership with key promotion

Tugela People, a leading HR and payroll systems consultancy based in Milton Keynes, has strengthened its commercial leadership with the promotion of Kate Scott to Partnerships and Customer Success Manager.

The appointment comes as the business continues to integrate and grow following its acquisition by Impact HR in December 2025.

Kate joined the business in June 2024 as Customer Success Manager after working in account manager and sales roles for more than 20 years, most notably with Lexis Nexis UK, Thomson Reuters and Peninsula.

Since then, Kate has played a pivotal role in embedding customer service processes, improving communication touchpoints and creating a more consistent client journey. This included formalising account management frameworks, introducing clearer ownership of retained contracts, and ensuring measurable value was being delivered to clients. The result was stronger client relationships, improved retention and a more scalable commercial foundation to support future growth.

In her new role, Kate will continue to manage and improve the sales process and customer journey. She will also take on responsibility for managing Tugela People’s software partner relationships to strengthen them and create more opportunities to work together. As part of the leadership team, she will also play an active role in shaping the future direction of the commercial side of the business.

Speaking about her new role, Kate said: “I’m really pleased to be stepping into this role at such an exciting time for the business. Since joining the Tugela, I’ve worked with the team to put strong foundations in place around the sales process and customer journey. This next step allows us to build on that. My focus is on making sure our clients and partners have a clear, consistent experience and that we truly understand what success looks like for them.

“Tugela People is a great company with great people and I’m excited about strengthening our relationships with our partners and looking at opportunities for growth, whilst simultaneously bringing in new clients and growing our existing retained client base.”

Greg Guilford, CEO at Tugela People, said: “Kate has consistently impressed us with her capability, experience, and the positive impact she has had commercially has created a solid platform for continued growth.

“In her new role, Kate will take responsibility for all new sales opportunities, alongside our retained and licence clients. She will also join the leadership team, where I am confident she will bring the same energy, focus and dedication that have defined her work to date.

“I am really looking forward to working closely with Kate as we continue to build and develop this important part of the business.”
