Ever fancied trying out some extreme abseiling? Then why not take part in the annual Northamptonshire Health Charity abseil day on Saturday 25 June and go over the top of the 418ft Northampton Lift Tower while raising funds in aid of a local NHS hospital?

You are welcome to raise money for the ward or department of your choice across Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust or at Northampton General Hospital (NGH) and Kettering General Hospital (KGH). Or, you can support one of the charity’s current appeals such as Twinkling Stars for the new maternity bereavement suite at KGH or the children’s wards outside play area appeal at NGH.

Last year, the charity’s abseilers raised an astronomical £16,000 for a wide range of areas across all three of the local NHS Trusts. Will you join them and take on the challenge this year? A team from Hawsons Accountants did just that in 2021, raising £1,899 for the oncology department at NGH.

It costs £100 for your abseil and the charity asks for a £50 deposit to secure your place with the balance of £50 to be paid to them by Friday 27 May.
