As a charity supporting health and wellbeing, Northamptonshire Health Charity has an amazing opportunity to be awarded a £5,000 Movement for Good grant. The independent charity supports three local NHS Trusts – Northampton General Hospital (NGH), Kettering General Hospital (KGH) and the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT). They do this by providing funding for equipment and projects to enhance patient care and staff wellbeing and they need the help of their supporters to be in with a chance of winning one of the ten £5,000 awards.
The Movement for Good Awards is an annual programme of giving, set up by all the specialist financial services companies that make up the Benefact Group. It provides them an opportunity to make a tangible difference to the lives of the people and communities they serve, by supporting the charities, not-for-profit organisations, and community interest projects that mean something to you. Yet again this year they are donating more than £1 million to charities.
In addition to offering charities the chance to win a £1,000 donation, Benefact Group are holding four special draws throughout the year giving charities a one-week window to be nominated for the higher £5,000 grant. Each special draw will focus on a specific type of cause, such as Animal and Wildlife for the first draw and the current Health and Wellbeing draw.
To help bag Northamptonshire Health Charity one of these grants all you have to do is visit https://health.movementforgood.com/#nominateACharity
by the end of Friday 19 May – search for their registered charity name (Northamptonshire Health Charitable Fund) or number (1165702) and complete the short form. All this takes less than a minute!
The more nominations the charity receives, the greater their chance of winning that £5,000 award, which will go a long way in helping them to continue making a difference to patients and staff in our local NHS hospitals and community services.
Alison McCulloch, the charity’s Head of Fundraising said: “We are grateful to everyone who has already taken the time to nominate us to receive a £1,000 donation, thank you! Please do follow the link and nominate us for one of these fantastic special awards too. £5,000 could fund some specialist equipment or a project to enhance the environment on a ward, or in a department. Please also spread the word and make it a movement for…good.”
