Northampton Saints Foundation has received £1,500 thanks to Fortus’s corporate golf event hosted at Staverton Park Golf Course in Northamptonshire.
Stephen Watts, Executive Director at Fortus Business Advisors & Accountants said, “We’re incredibly proud to be collaborating with such an amazing charity who aim to use their values; inspire, support, and educate to help create better opportunities for young people locally. It was a real honour to present our cheque to Catherine, Jordan and Clare following our 1st annual charity golf outing.
I’d personally like to thank all of our clients and contacts, and our Fortus team, in particular Bruce Keir, for helping us make the event such a huge success. We’re already looking forward to doing it again next year when we hope to raise even more. We’re also looking at ways of collaborating with Northampton Saints Foundation in other ways, so watch this space.”
Catherine Deans, Northampton Saints Foundation Managing Director added, “I am delighted that Fortus selected Northampton Saints Foundation for their golf day, every penny raised supports the Foundation to provide positive pathways for young people in and around Northamptonshire. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Fortus into the future.”
On the day of the event, Jordan Letts, Social Inclusion Lead from Northampton Saints Foundation (pictured) took to the stage to talk about the importance of the work they’re doing and how everyone’s donations will help so many young people.
As part of the fundraiser, Fortus included hole in one prizes on three par three holes, one that included a 2 night stay for 4 people at the 4* Marriott Forest of Arden which was won by Phil Carr of Zantra Limited. There was also a £25k cash prize that was only a couple of feet away from being won as well on another par three hole!
Phil said, “The Fortus golf day at Staverton Park in support of Northampton Saints Foundation was a wonderful event. The Texas Scramble format was perfect, the weather was outstanding and the golf course was in great condition. Overall it was a fun day spent meeting new people and playing golf, and one which was made all the more memorable with my first ever hole in one!”
Two of the teams taking part were local businesses, Digital Origin Solutions and EMW Law.
“Digital Origin were invited to the inaugural Fortus Golf Day and we were really looking forward to it and it didn’t disappoint. The hospitality shown was first class, it was nice to be able to support a deserved charity in the Northampton Saints Foundation and although we were pipped at the post in terms of scoring, we’re looking forward to the next event. Great work Fortus!” shared Mike Davis, Digital Origin.
Sean Halliwell of EMW added, “We had a fantastic day at the Fortus charity golf event in aid of Northampton Saints Foundation. The event was well attended, well organised and Fortus even brought some lovely sunshine with them for the day. A massive thanks to all those involved in organising the day, and all attendees for raising money for a really fantastic cause. A special mention also goes out to our Fortus captain on the day, Tom Dymond, who helped lead us to victory – thank you! We’re very much looking forward to the next event!”
