The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submission deadline is soon approaching.

Those who have access to NHS patient data or NHS systems are required to submit their DSPT by the 30 June 2026.

Also, as well as submitting the DSPT, some organisations also need to have their DSPT submission independently assessed and, without which, the DSPT cannot be submitted.

All of this is to help protect data and NHS systems and recover if the worst was to happen. In some situations, contracts with the NHS may not be renewed or commenced if the organisation does not have a sufficient level of data protection and security, demonstrated by their DSPT submission.

Tickbox are now supporting organisations with their DSPT submission by providing pre-audit gap analysis and/or the independent assessment and final independent assurance report for upload to the DSPT portal, helping ensure submissions are completed on time.
