A Kettering-based recruitment consultancy has been named as a finalist in two categories of this year’s SME Northamptonshire Business Awards.

Wills Consultants Ltd, run by husband and wife team Simon and Nikki Wills, has been shortlisted for High Growth Business of the Year and also in the Service Excellence category.

The nominations recognise the outstanding service the company provides to its clients and the impressive way they have contributed to employment growth in the last year.

Wills Consultants, which specialise in recruiting in the engineering, accountancy, finance and office professional sectors, has increased its own staff headcount by 133% in the last 12 months, from three people at the start of 2022 to seven today, and is still hiring.

The team has streamlined its on-boarding process and the senior management team are enrolled in a six-month business training programme to ensure exceptional service, advice and growth.

Recently, the company has expanded into a second office to accommodate staff growth.

Nikki Wills said: “The past 12 months have been fast paced and a great success for our team. We have adopted a more collaborative approach with our clients to combat the current economic climate, allowing business owners to continue to focus on their business while we focus on their people needs and successful recruitment.

“We are absolutely over the moon to have been shortlisted in two categories that highlight the importance we place on our client experience, strengthening our team and offering the best possible service. We predict that we’re likely to have our best year ever and we are looking forward to the awards ceremony in June. Good luck to all the finalists.”

The Grand Final ceremony announcing the winners of the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards will be held on Thursday 15th June at the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel.
