The International Waendel Walk is returning to Wellingborough from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May 2022 this year. Hosted by North Northants Council, the three-day walking event will begin with a 5km and 10km Friendship walk on the Friday evening, starting from the Castle Theatre before participants can take part in walks ranging from 5km through to 42km on Saturday and Sunday. Routes will cover Wellingborough and the stunning surrounding North Northants countryside. There will also be entertainment on-site at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough every day.

The International Waendel Walk is an annual event and the only IML walking event in the UK. If you’d like to get involved and take on one of these beautiful scenic walks you can always get sponsored and raise funds for Northamptonshire Health Charity. Support the ward or department of your choice at Northampton General Hosptial (NGH), Kettering General Hospital (KGH) or those across Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
