STERTIL KONI HAS SUPPLIED AND INSTALLED A DRIVE-THROUGH WASHBAY LIFT TO STREAMLINE A RANGE OF VEHICLE WASHING OPERATIONS FOR ARRIVA NORTH WEST AT ITS SITE IN BIRKENHEAD ON THE WIRRAL.

Offering a safe lifting capacity of 20 tonnes, the galvanised SKYLIFT, type SKY200-8WB, features robust parallel platforms, measuring 8 metres in length, plus 3.5 metre long run-up and drive-off ramps to accommodate the company’s diverse fleet of single and double decker buses.

Once a vehicle is correctly positioned on the Skylift, chassis cleaning is undertaken by an operative using a manual high pressure washer lance. This operation is simplified by the design of the Skylift which is free of cross beams, base-frames and posts to allow unrestricted access to the underside of raised vehicles.

Stertil Koni’s revolutionary ebright Smart Control System allows operation of the Skylift from a stainless-steel, lockable control box situated alongside the lift. Precise raising and lowering of vehicles is controlled by the eBright system which features a full colour touch-screen panel.
