Age UK Northamptonshire invites partners to support International Day of Older Persons event in Northamptonshire
Age UK Northamptonshire is inviting health, care, voluntary and community sector organisations to take part in its Ageing Well One Stop Shop – What’s on Your Doorstep? event on Thursday 1st October 2026, from 2pm to 6pm, at the William and Patricia Venton Centre, Northampton.
The event, held as part of International Day of Older Persons, will bring together local organisations that help people age well, stay independent, connected and active, and live well in their own homes and communities for longer.
Age UK Northamptonshire is encouraging partners to offer something interactive, whether that’s a demonstration, activity, discussion, short talk or workshop, helping visitors discover the support available across the county.
The event will also gather feedback from older people about what helps them age well, the challenges they face, and any gaps in local services, helping organisations work together to better meet community needs.
Lynette Emary for Age UK Northamptonshire, said:
“We know there is a wealth of support available across Northamptonshire. This event is an opportunity for organisations to showcase their services, connect with residents and help us celebrate positive ageing. We’d love partners from across the county to get involved.”
Organisations interested in taking part should register their interest by 5pm on Friday 11th September 2026, outlining what they could offer on the day.
To register, email ILS@ageuknorthants.org.uk.
