Powering Change: Helping North Northamptonshire Organisations Reach Net Zero
Supporting local businesses with tailored decarbonisation support
North Northamptonshire Council has launched Powering Change, a new initiative to help businesses and community organisations take meaningful steps toward net zero. Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), the programme offers practical tools, expert guidance, and access to funding to support climate action.
Through this initiative, businesses and community organisations will be supported to develop carbon footprints and tailored Carbon Reduction Plans that align with public procurement standards.
Participants will benefit from expert-led workshops and personalised one-to-one support. They’ll also gain free access to a powerful digital platform that simplifies carbon measurement and planning.
Free online sessions
The next set of free online sessions will guide attendees through the process of developing a FREE carbon report and Carbon Reduction Plan. These are vital tools for understanding your emissions, meeting funding and procurement requirements, and driving real environmental impact.
Session 1: Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

• Understand carbon footprint boundaries and how to collect and enter data.
• Get support to create your FREE Carbon Reduction Plan using the SmartCarbon platform.
• Receive a baseline report and guidance on next steps.
