Northamptonshire Chamber member ITFixio has strengthened its senior leadership team with Vasiliki ‘Vasi’ Fragkou joining the growing Northamptonshire-based IT and cybersecurity business full-time as Operations Director.

The appointment marks another milestone in ITFixio’s growth, with Vasi bringing more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across business operations, strategy, innovation, risk management, regulated environments and team development.

Having been closely involved with ITFixio since its early stages, Vasi has worked alongside founder and CEO Nik Gazis as the business has grown its team, client base, partnerships and presence across Northamptonshire.

She will now focus full-time on ITFixio’s operations, strategy, client relationships, partnerships, marketing and commercial growth, complementing Nik’s technical leadership of the business..

From MedTech leadership to technology

Before joining ITFixio full-time, Vasi built a career spanning more than two decades in science, diagnostics and medical technology, progressing into senior executive and board-level positions.
Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Director at Magnasense Technologies/AegirBio UK, with experience encompassing operational leadership, R&D, quality and regulatory environments, commercial strategy, risk management and team development.

While technology represents a new industry for Vasi, she believes much of that experience translates naturally into her role at ITFixio.

“Technology may be a different industry, but many of the fundamentals are the same,” Vasi said.

“Businesses need good people, strong processes, effective risk management and partners they can trust. I’m bringing the experience I already have into ITFixio while also stepping into a new industry – and that challenge is something I’m genuinely enjoying.”

A new chapter – and a new business community

For Vasi, the move has also introduced her to a very different professional world.

Through ITFixio, she has become increasingly involved in Northamptonshire’s business community, attending networking events and exhibitions, building local partnerships and developing relationships with businesses across the county.

The Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce has been an important part of that journey.

Vasi said: “After more than 20 years in science, diagnostics and MedTech, I never imagined my next chapter would look quite like this. But over the past year, a completely new world has opened up to me, and I’ve genuinely loved it.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed most has been the people I’ve met. Through networking, exhibitions, the Chamber and the wider Northamptonshire business community, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people and businesses I probably would never have crossed paths with in my previous career.

I’ve loved hearing their stories, learning about their businesses and building genuine relationships.

The Chamber in particular has made us feel incredibly welcome. It has given us opportunities not simply to promote ITFixio, but to become involved, meet people and feel part of the local business community.”

ITFixio has been an active Chamber member, regularly participating in Chamber events and exhibitions and contributing member news and business-focused content. The company also sponsored the Diversity in the Workplace Award at the Northamptonshire Business Awards 2026.

Supporting ITFixio’s next stage of growth

Now based at Corby Innovation Hub, ITFixio provides managed IT support and cybersecurity services to SMEs across Northamptonshire and beyond, including Microsoft 365, cloud solutions, backup and disaster recovery, networks and communications.

The company has continued to broaden its local involvement as it grows, including becoming an Employer Partner of The Bedford College Group – another milestone previously featured by the Chamber.

For Vasi, making the move full-time was ultimately a natural decision.

“Somewhere along the way, I realised I didn’t want to simply support Nik and ITFixio from the sidelines – I wanted to be fully part of what we’re building,” she said.

“There’s still lots for me to learn, plenty of challenges ahead and some exciting plans for ITFixio. But I’ve always enjoyed a challenge, so I’m looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes us.”
