Pop up podcast day at town centre workspace
A Northampton town centre podcast studio is marking its first anniversary by hosting a celebratory Pop Up Podcast Day.
Today (30th September 2026), on National Podcast Day, Northampton’s Vulcan Works has announced they will open their state-of-the-art studio on Wednesday 11th November all day and are inviting local businesses, creators and curious first-timers to step behind the mic and have a go at podcasting.
The podcast studio, in the creative workspace’s main building on Guildhall Road, was launched last autumn by the centre’s management team, who wanted to provide a useful bolt on service for customers, both internal and external, alongside the hub’s invaluable business support, networking opportunities, seminars and meeting rooms.
Visitors during the Pop Up Podcast Day can use the bookable open sessions to record a short podcast episode, create social media video content, record a business introduction, interview a subject or try out a Q&A, share expertise, or tell a business story.
Centre manager Garrick Hurter said: “We’re celebrating a whole year of the Vulcan Works podcast studio with this fantastic open day opportunity for wannabe broadcasters. No podcasting experience is needed so whether you’re completely new to podcasting or already creating content, this is your big chance to try something different and see what you can create.
“Spaces are limited, so make sure you book your slot in advance via Eventbrite. Come along, get behind the mic and help us celebrate one year of the Vulcan Works podcast. We can’t wait to see what you will create!”
