Corby-based See Limited has completed a striking geometric façade for a new building at Sherbourne Fields School, a special educational needs school serving children and young people in Coventry.

The six-colour, installation-ready cladding was delivered by Performance Panels, the distribution arm of group-holding company See Limited, which specialises in the supply and distribution of high-performance decorative panels.

As an all-age special school supporting pupils with a broad spectrum of needs, the school required a façade that was vibrant, welcoming and visually distinctive, while remaining durable enough for the demands of an education setting.

The design featured an interlocking pattern of diagonal triangular panels across multiple elevations, each cut from full-size Trespa® Meteon sheets across six carefully selected decors.

Every panel was fabricated through Performance Panels’ in-house operation. Careful panel nesting, cutting sequences and yield planning coordinated the required shapes, colours and quantities while making efficient use of material.

Each component was quality-checked, labelled and packaged by elevation before dispatch, reducing handling and identification time on site and helping installers assemble the complex geometric pattern accurately. The result was a complete, installation-ready system that brought the architect’s vision precisely to life.

“Turning the architectural concept into a buildable system required far more than supplying decorative panels,” said John Eyre, Director at Performance Panels. “The cladding itself had to become the visual language of the building, rather than relying on signage or applied decoration.

“Using CNC routing technology, we produced every triangular component to the required geometry and tolerance, coordinated across six colours, and prepared each piece so that installers could identify its intended position quickly on site.
