The Bedford College & ITFixio Employer Partnership

ITFixio Becomes Employer Partner of The Bedford College Group

Northamptonshire-based IT support and cybersecurity business ITFixio has become an Employer Partner of The Bedford College Group, strengthening its commitment to supporting students, apprenticeships and the next generation of technology professionals.

The new partnership brings together two organisations with a shared interest in helping young people develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to progress into successful careers.

For ITFixio, the partnership is an opportunity to give students a genuine insight into the fast-moving world of IT, cybersecurity and business technology, while also helping to develop the future talent the industry needs.

From a local connection to a new partnership

The relationship between ITFixio and The Bedford College Group began through local business networking, where ITFixio founder and CEO Nik Gazis met Ian Tinto, Business Engagement Account Manager at The Bedford College Group.

What initially started with conversations around apprenticeship opportunities soon developed into discussions about how ITFixio could become more involved with the college and its students.
That has now developed into a formal Employer Partnership, creating opportunities for ITFixio to engage with students throughout the academic year.

The Bedford College Group works with employers across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, helping students gain a better understanding of the workplace and the different routes available to them after college.

Supporting the next generation of IT talent

As an Employer Partner, ITFixio will support a range of activities including careers events, student guidance, networking opportunities and Q&A sessions.

For a growing technology business, Nik believes that engaging with students is not simply about recruitment, it is about helping young people understand the breadth of opportunities available within the technology sector.

We are really pleased to become an Employer Partner and are looking forward to getting involved.
We want to talk to students about our industry and show them the range of jobs within it, while hopefully being able to take on more apprentices as our business grows.” said Nik Gazis, Founder and CEO of ITFixio.

ITFixio already works with The Bedford College Group in relation to a Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship, and the company hopes to build on this relationship as it continues to grow.

Creating stronger links between education and business

Employer partnerships can play an important role in helping students understand what businesses are looking for and what different careers actually look like in practice.

For students considering a career in IT, cybersecurity or technology, direct engagement with businesses can provide valuable insight into the skills employers need, from technical knowledge and problem-solving to communication, customer service and commercial awareness.

Rachel Roberts, Partnership Manager at The Bedford College Group, welcomed ITFixio to the Employer Partnership network and highlighted the value of students hearing directly from businesses and learning about different routes into industry.

The partnership also reflects the importance of stronger links between local businesses and education providers across Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.

Investing in the future of technology

ITFixio is a Northamptonshire-based managed IT services and cybersecurity business supporting organisations with their technology, security and IT infrastructure.

As the technology sector continues to evolve, the demand for skilled IT and cybersecurity professionals is increasing. For businesses like ITFixio, developing relationships with colleges and supporting apprenticeships provides an opportunity to help shape the talent pipeline while giving young people practical insight into potential careers.

The company intends to continue developing its relationship with The Bedford College Group, with the possibility of welcoming more apprentices as the business grows.

For ITFixio, becoming an Employer Partner is therefore more than simply a new business relationship. It is an investment in people, skills and the future of the local technology sector.

A partnership with long-term potential

The partnership between ITFixio and The Bedford College Group is an example of how local businesses and education providers can work together to create meaningful opportunities for students.

By bringing industry experience into the classroom and giving students direct access to employers, the partnership aims to help bridge the gap between education and employment, while giving businesses an opportunity to engage with the next generation of talent.

With ITFixio continuing to grow and develop its presence across Northamptonshire and beyond, the company is looking forward to playing an active role in supporting future IT, cybersecurity and business professionals.
