Bell of Northampton is set to unveil a new bathroom showroom centred around KEUCO’s premium accessibility range ‘AXESS’, a  range designed by Studio FA Porsche, a design studio founded by the designer of the Porsche 911.

 

The new 450 sq ft KEUCO showroom has been created in response to demand from customers who want a luxury bathroom built to last but recognise they may be less mobile in 10 or 20 years’ time.

 

At its heart is KEUCO AXESS, a collection of accessible bathroom products developed with Studio F. A. Porsche. Rather than the clinical appearance traditionally associated with accessible bathrooms, AXESS uses a modular railing system with sleek grab rails that can fold away and adaptable shower seating. The seat can be added, moved along the shower rail or removed easily depending on the needs of the person using the bathroom.

 

When designing the new showroom, Parshin Pourmozafari, Bathroom & Tile Manager at Bell of Northampton, took inspiration from the concept of two people sharing the space that might have different needs when it comes to mobility.

 

He said: “One of the things I wanted to explore with this design was that accessibility isn’t one-size-fits-all. Two people can share a bathroom but have very different needs. One person might want a seat in the shower while the other doesn’t, or one might benefit from the support of a grab rail that somebody else doesn’t need at all.

 

“The clever thing about the AXESS products is that those aids don’t have to stay visible in the bathroom all the time. They can be there when someone needs them and moved, removed or folded away when they don’t. First and foremost, it is a luxury bathroom, but it is one that has been designed to make life easier and adapt to the people using it over time.”

 

Wetroom specialist Impey has also contributed to the design, creating a floor former that slopes discreetly into a linear waste drainage system. The shower also features a Kudos screen mounted on rollers, enabling it to provide more space for entry when required.

 

A Geberit AquaClean shower toilet has also been incorporated into the display. The toilet features an integrated water jet that cleans the user after use, providing an additional element of personal hygiene and independence.

 

Even the positioning of the radiator has formed part of the shared room concept, with it installed side-on so that it doubles as a subtle room divider.

 

Away from the wetroom area, the 450 sq ft showroom will be finished with Amtico flooring and a separate display of KEUCO’s range of accessories and brassware, with some of the most popular collections mounted on boards to make it easier for customers to compare products and finishes. Another area of the showroom will feature a made-to-measure mirror and KEUCO bathroom cabinetry.

The new showroom builds on more than two decades of collaboration between Bell and KEUCO.

The new KEUCO showroom is expected to be completed by the end of August, with an official launch event taking place at Bell of Northampton on Thursday 3^rd September 2026.
