From Chamber Connection to Long-Term Partnership: Emerge Renewable Solutions Supports Uninterrupted Power Solutions’ Sustainability Journey
A connection made through the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce has developed into a successful renewable energy partnership, demonstrating the power of local business networking and collaboration.
Northamptonshire-based Emerge Renewable Solutions recently completed a bespoke renewable energy project for Uninterrupted Power Solutions (UPS), a leading provider of critical power protection systems based in Milton Keynes.
The partnership began after UPS Director James Abbey discovered Emerge through the Chamber network. What started as an initial conversation, evolved into a tangible solution for lowering carbon emissions, reducing energy costs and investing in a more sustainable future.
Emerge designed, supplied and installed a 13.31 kWp Solar PV system, alongside 2 x 22 kW EV chargers to support both employees and visitors. The project also includes an ongoing maintenance agreement, ensuring the system continues to deliver long-term value.
The installation is forecast to generate over 11 MWh of renewable electricity annually, deliver approximately £48,000 in lifetime electricity savings, and reduce carbon emissions by more than 2 tonnes each year.
For Emerge Renewable Solutions, the project represents the strength of the regional business community.
“It demonstrates exactly why we’re proud to be members of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce,” said Charlotte Ward, Co-Founder and Commercial Director of Emerge Renewable Solutions.
“James initially found us through the Chamber, and that introduction has grown into a fantastic partnership. It highlights the real value of building relationships through the local business community. As neighbouring businesses, it’s been great to share our expertise and deliver a project that supports UPS’s sustainability and reduces their operational costs.”
James Abbey, Director of Uninterrupted Power Solutions, added:
“Working with Emerge has been a straightforward and a collaborative experience from start to finish. Their technical expertise and consultative approach gave us confidence throughout the project, that they delivered extremely efficiently. We’re delighted to have partnered with them and be investing in a solution that supports both our sustainability ambitions and our long-term business resilience.”
As businesses continue to seek practical ways to reduce costs and improve their environmental performance, partnerships like this demonstrate how collaboration between regional organisations can create lasting commercial and environmental benefits.
For Emerge Renewable Solutions, it’s another example of the companies’ mission to help organisations across Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and the wider UK transition to smarter, cleaner and more resilient energy infrastructure.
