Will you partner with us so that more people can access our life changing support?

Maggie’s was founded in 1996 by Maggie Keswick Jencks – when she was dying from breast cancer – to provide emotional and practical support to anyone diagnosed with cancer, and their family and friends.

Built -in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, our centres are designed to be more like a home than a hospital. Creating calm environments that make visitors feel safe, valued and comfortable in an atmosphere that lifts spirits.

Our cancer support specialists, psychologists and benefit advisors help visitors navigate the complexities of their diagnosis through a personalised programme of support.

The support given at Maggie’s centres is free to access and no appointment or referral is needed.

The comfort and support that Maggie’s provides, compliments medical care and improves the psychological and emotional wellbeing of people with cancer and their families.

Maggies offers:

  • One -to-one sessions with Clinical Psychologists
  • Benefits advice
  • Support groups with others affected by cancer
  • Therapeutic sessions such as yoga; art therapy, mindfulness, and nutrition

Despite many breakthroughs in cancer treatment and care in the last two decades, the number of people living with cancer in the UK is expected to rise to 6 million people by 20240.

As the number of people living with cancer continues to rise, the demand for support increases, making Maggie’s practical, emotional and psychological support needed more now than ever.

Maggie’s will always remain a free service to anyone who needs us. But we cannot meet the demand for our support without the generosity of supporters and businesses like you.
