Voucher initiative launched to helped businesses prepare for Employment Rights Act changes

A leading HR consultancy has launched a UK-wide initiative to help support businesses as they face the biggest employment law shake-up in a generation.

The Employment Rights Act voucher scheme sees people-first HR consultancy, Impact HR Consulting Limited, provide companies with vouchers for £250 worth of HR support to help them prepare for the Employment Rights Act changes coming into force.

The Employment Rights Act 2025, which received Royal Assent in December 2025 and is being introduced in phases throughout 2026 and 2027, brings wide-ranging changes affecting employers across areas including statutory sick pay, flexible working, dismissal procedures and workplace protections. The legislation also introduces some ‘day-one employment rights’, meaning employers will need to ensure their policies, contracts and people management processes are fit for purpose from the moment a new employee joins the organisation.

To help businesses understand and prepare for the changes, the Employment Rights Act vouchers can be used towards a range of HR services including employment contract reviews, staff handbook updates, policy reviews, compliance audits and general HR advisory support to help businesses navigate the new legislation with confidence.

Juliet Irving, Director of Operations at Impact HR, said: “The Employment Rights Act represents one of the most significant changes to employment law in our lifetime. While larger organisations often have dedicated HR teams and legal resources, many SMEs simply don’t have the time or expertise to keep up with every legislative change while managing the day-to-day demands of running a business.

“We wanted to create a practical way for businesses to access expert support and begin preparing now, rather than waiting until the changes affect their organisation. Our £250 Employment Rights vouchers give employers the opportunity to review their current practices and identify any areas that may need attention before the reforms take full effect.”

Impact HR is also taking its Employment Rights Act awareness campaign directly to the SME community by attending a number of small business expos across the UK over the coming weeks. Members of the Impact HR team will be on hand to discuss the upcoming changes, answer questions and distribute the £250 support vouchers to qualifying businesses.

Juliet added: “We’re speaking to business owners every day who know change is coming but aren’t sure what it means for them in practice. By attending business expos and meeting employers face-to-face, we’re able to signpost them towards the free support available and help them to take the first steps towards compliance.

“The businesses that start preparing now will be in a much stronger position when the legislation is fully implemented. Our aim is to make that process as straightforward and accessible as possible.”
