Just 2 weeks to go until our Day for Dementia event

Currently there are 70,800 living in the UK with young on-set dementia. With the UK statutory retirement age rising, and the number of people with dementia expected to increase to more than 1.4 million by 2040, we could see many more people developing dementia while still in employment. 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. That could potentially mean a 3rd of your colleagues going onto develop dementia. Dementia can cause problems with communication and language, decision making, problem solving and following step by step processes. All these skills are essential while in employment.
