Proaction Martial Arts Raises £5,000 for Charities at Annual Awards Evening

Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness has announced a remarkable achievement at its 2026 Annual Awards Evening, raising £5,000 in support of two charity partners: ServiceSix, a local mental health and wellbeing organisation, and The Amani School (CSPA) in Durba, Democratic Republic of Congo, which provides life-changing educational opportunities for children in one of the world’s most disadvantaged regions.

The Awards Evening, held on 7th February at Franklin’s Gardens, brought together martial arts students, instructors, franchise partners, local businesses, and families to celebrate achievement, community, and personal development. The evening recognised excellence across Proaction’s programmes, including Taekwon-Do, Kickboxing, and Mighty Monkeys children’s martial arts classes, while highlighting the organisation’s commitment to core values: confidence, resilience, community, and leadership.

Tom and Jas Nicholson, Directors of Proaction Martial Arts, said:

“Raising £5,000 is a huge achievement and reflects the generosity within our Proaction community. By partnering with ServiceSix and The Amani School, we’re able to extend our impact far beyond the training mats and support causes that align with our values.”

Local businesses played a vital role in the success of the evening. Headline sponsor Wilson Browne Solicitors and other regional businesses contributed raffle prizes and sponsorship, demonstrating the strength of Northamptonshire’s business community in supporting local initiatives.

Wayne Jenkins, Business Development & Marketing Director at Wilson Browne Solicitors, commented:

“We are proud to support Proaction and their community-driven initiatives. Supporting education and mental wellbeing aligns with our values, and seeing the local business and Proaction community come together is inspiring.”

Proaction Martial Arts operates a network of clubs across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and the wider East Midlands, delivering martial arts training for children and adults, while fostering physical skills, emotional resilience, and personal growth.

Proaction also has plans to launch its own charitable foundation, further expanding its community contribution and positive local impact.
